Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Program Joins Captains of Industry Tour

In the world of luxury real estate, the traditional open house may only get you so far. When you are marketing a multi-million waterfront estate, there is an even greater need for out-of-the-box social events that can attract the right buyers to your listing. Enter the Captains of Industry, a 10-city national tour that’s making waves across the luxury real estate world right now. Organizers of the tour call it “a celebration of water and wine” that takes places across a series of boat shows, luxury estates and waterfront marinas. The Coldwell Banker Global Luxury® program joined forces with Captains of Industry to provide waterfront estates for several upcoming events slated for later this year. The events are meant to be “aspirational lifestyle experiences,” according to Craig Hogan, vice president of luxury for Coldwell Banker Real Estate, LLC. “We are always looking for ways to elevate the modern buying and selling experience,” notes Hogan. “By bringing different luxury brands together in the right luxury home and right neighborhood, we hope to give our real estate agents an opportunity to showcase their properties to a whole new affluent audience. Additionally, the listing agent will have an exclusive opportunity to build up new prospects to market the home. It’s the ultimate open house event.” The inaugural event was held recently at a $27 million nine-bedroom waterfront estate in Coral Gables, Fla, where Sea Ray, Brunswick, The International SeaKeepers Society, and Captain Sandy Yawn from Bravo’s “Below Deck Mediterranean” enjoyed the ultimate waterfront wine tasting experience. A progressive Spectrum of Style food and wine pairing was presented by award-winning author and sommelier Marnie Old, while guests were treated to a personally signed copy of her book “Passion for Wine: The Companion Tasting Journal.” Sea Ray hosted luxurious champagne cruises with opportunities to explore the all-new SLX-R 400e Outboard. During the Captains of Industry Award presentation, Captain Sandy presented the inaugural award to Michael T. Moore for his legendary strides as a Miami leader in marine conservation and maritime law. Guests also tested their skills at sabering bottles of champagne to benefit the DISCOVERY Yachts Program. For every successful saber, $100 was donated to SeaKeepers in support of marine science and conservation around the world. The next Captains of Industry event will include similar elements and is set to take place in Austin, Tex. Upcoming Captains of Industry 2020 national tour stops include Minneapolis, Knoxville, Atlanta, Chicago, Newport Beach, Seattle, New York and Fort Lauderdale.
