My wife Debbie & I moved here in 1978 and at that time, the main road was only 2 lanes wide and there was just one stoplight on the beach. Now of course the main road is 4 lanes wide with a turning lane and over 40 stoplights to get from Kitty Hawk to Manteo. So, yes....I have seen some changes along the way.I built houses for the first 2 years and then went into real estate in July of 1980. Our 1st MLS system did not appear until 1985 and it was in book form only for the first 2 years.Since the
