Brad was then offered a new adventure in another market area with an office that was on its way into the red. He partnered with 70 independent agents in April and by the end of the year the office exceeded profit expectations and grew by 30+ . The following year, the office grew by affiliating with 44 experienced real estate professionals and achieved the single highest profit in its 34 year history. Upon his departure in 2008, the office was affiliated with approximately 140 agents and was and still is number 1 by nearly double the next largest competitor. Personal Background
Brad Pearson became a Realtor at 21 after serving 4 years in the US Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller during the Gulf War. His claim to fame as a real estate professional was his success in taking 21 listings his first 45 days in the real estate business, all by knocking expired and FSBO doors. For the next 7 years he became one of the top producers in his office and community and was well known for his extreme competitiveness. In 1999 he was approached to manage an office affiliated with 12 independent agents, where it ranked #32 in the city where there were only about 15 actual companies. This put his office worse than last place considering there were companies outside of his market area doing more business.
The first year managing he partnered with 50 experienced productive independent agents and within 18 months there were 100 real estate professionals in less than 4000 square feet in one of the dingiest, dirtiest, run down facilities imaginable with only 16 dedicated parking spaces. Shortly thereafter, his company signed a lease on a new 17,000 square foot facility that took 6 months to open. On the day of opening (about 2 ½ years total) he moved into that office with 140 professionals and rapidly grew the office to the 180 professionals it was when he left 3 ½ years later. At this point the office was the number 1 office in its market (up 32 spots!), and had displaced companies that used to laugh at him and his old office and had been number 1 for 20+ years. They never saw him coming!
Brad is now the Regional Vice President for Orange, Riverside, & San Diego Counties and oversees the daily growth and operations of 47 locations with 2400 sales associates in Southern California
