Lamar Braithwaite

Lamar Braithwaite is a licensed real estate agent who brings more than 15 years of professional experience to the Coldwell Banker team in Washington, DC. Lamar specializes in assisting first-time buyers and new arrivals to the dynamic DC real-estate scene. Before his career in real estate, Lamar spent more than a decade in nonprofit management and youth and child development, primarily with the YMCAs of Hampton Roads, Greater Richmond, and Metropolitan Washington. In a series of progressive roles, he managed $1-million-plus budgets; built high-performing teams; interacted with volunteers, parents, and community partners; led the annual summer camp program serving hundreds of youth per year; and provided both strategic and day-to-day leadership of multiple YMCA programs. He is active in the community, including work volunteering with the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, SYMAL and member of the Metropolitan Community Church of DC Gospel Choir. Lamar is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and lives in Georgetown with his husband, Dale Curtis.
