My professional training is in Production Management. I managed the real estate sections for Brooks Community Newspapers in Westport, CT early in my career. I then moved to Vogue Magazine in NYC to be the assistant Production Manager.
My husband, Tim, wrote the first and second NEW YANKEE WORKSHOP Books for Norm Abrams. I designed, produced and packaged those books and several other books for Rodale Press.
Our son was born in 1984 with a Down Syndrome. I changed to focus my professional and personal efforts on child and family advocacy. I worked with many not-for-profit organizations connected with the United Way. I assisted in helping those organizations with strategic planning, marketing, outreach and development.
Throughout our 36 years of marriage we have rehabilitated a cabin on Lake Zoar, a 1890 farmhouse in Woodbury, a Victorian in Pennsylvania, a 1980's colonial and two 1950's ranch houses. We are serious addicts and need to stop it!!!
In 2003 I got my real estate license. Little did I realize then that all my prior professional experience would come together to provide me with the perfect set of tools for real estate: advocacy, production, marketing, building knowledge and love of projects.

History of hands on experience
My husband and I purchased our first home in Sandy Hook on Lake Zoar for $6000. It was an unwinterized falling down cabin that had no septic system. He and I gutted the property, rebuilt it and sold it to an Airline Stewardess for $32,000 in 1985.
