He began his career with Frank Howard Allen Co. in 1977, quickly earning top producer recognition. He later joined Grubb & Ellis, where he was designated a Senior Marketing Consultant-an elite distinction awarded to professionals demonstrating exceptional expertise in negotiation, market analysis, and marketing strategy, along with integrity and community involvement. He continued his success with Fox & Carskadon before its transition to Coldwell Banker Realty.

Marcus earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University in 1979, a foundation that enhances his ability to understand client needs and navigate complex negotiations.

A lifelong member of the Marin community, Marcus has been actively involved in local youth athletics, serving as a coach and manager in Mill Valley Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball for many years. Outside of real estate, he enjoys tennis and landscaping.
